Pagos (パゴス, Pagosu), scientific name Pagotortoise, is a monster that first appeared in Ultra Q.

Pagos as seen in Ultraman Taiga

Pagos was a stray monster who was driven out of its underground home when the space monster Gymaira attacked him, attempting to feed on any "magic" energy it could find. Fleeing to the surface in the middle of a city, Pagos was immediately confronted by Ultraman Taiga (Hiroyuki was already on the scene trying to protect a witch named Maria from an Alien Zelan) and the ultra fought with the monster, believing it to be hostile. Pagos's natural strength and durability allowed the monster to shrug off Taiga's assaults, as well as his Hell Slash attack, which forced Taiga to swap out with Ultraman Titas instead. Titas was strong enough to overpower the monster, but the battle quickly turned desperate after Pagos injured the Tri-Squad with a blast of its Corkscrew Drill Ray. Despite the attack taking down the ultra though, Pagos's offense was quickly stopped after Titas swapped out with Ultraman Fuma, and the ultra struck the monster's belly with his Light Wave Sword, ending Pagos's life. As Pagos succumbed to his injury, his body was turned to to stone, shedding tears as it did so.^{[One afternoon when the magic was lost from the star]}

Shortly after Gymaira's appearance, E.G.I.S. learned the truth about Pagos's appearance and gave the monster's stone corpse a brief moment of silence for its tragic fate. Later once Gymaira was destroyed, a construction crew broke up Pagos's statue and took its remains elsewhere.^{[Even then the universe will still go on dreaming]}

Shin Ultraman

Pagos was the sixth S-Class species of monsters to make their presence known to humanity. The monster rampaged in Tokyo and consumed a vast amount of radioactive materials. The monster was later turned to stone and broken up after a plan that was carried out by the SSSP, but due to the amount of radioactivity it had consumed, its death lead to the surrounding area of its attack being contaminated by said materials being scattered about, creating an environmental disaster.

It was later revealed that Pagos, along with Neronga, Gabora, and many of the monsters that appeared prior to the SSSP's formation, were all bioweapons created by Mefilas as test subjects from the alien's Beta System. With Pagos having been used for reconnaissance and tactical usage. Additionally, Pagos's design was utilized by the alien to aide him in designing Neronga and Gabora.^{[Shin Ultraman]}

Abilities

• Molecular Disintegration Ray (分子構造破壊光線, Bunshi kōzō hakai kōsen): Pagos can fire a yellow destructive heat ray from his mouth.
• Corkscrew Drill Ray (螺旋掘削光線, Rasen kussaku kōsen): Pagos can fire a yellow drill-shaped energy blast from his forehead.
• Burrowing: Being from the underground, Pagos can burrow at high speeds.
