Behind the scenes

Rigger's Costume was reused and heavily augmented from the monster, Dinosaur Tank.

  • Rigger had gone through a series of changes before his eventual debut:
    • Originally, Rigger's name was to be "Riga," but was changed in the final draft.
    • Rigger was also designed to have a shorter neck. In the final version however, his neck was elongated.
    • Much like a majority of the Monsters from the Ultraseven series, Rigger was originally going to be accompanied by a race of aliens known as the "Alien Mandala," who were to be the ones behind the Meteor's Jamming Waves, while Rigger was their bodyguard. In the final draft however, the Alien Mandala were removed altogether, and Rigger alone was the one responsible for the Jamming Waves.
      • Additionally, the Alien Mandala concept was also planned to debut as far back as the original Ultraman series as well. However, the plans were dropped there as well.
    • Rigger's Capsule Monster opponent before fighting Ultraseven went through a series of changes as well. Originally he was going to fight Pagos in the first draft, then Windam in the second draft, until finally it became Agira in the final draft.
  • Rigger can be seen as one of the monsters that makes up one of Beryudora's fingers on his left arm in Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends The Movie.
