Samekujira

Template:ArticleTaroTemplate:MonsterInfoSamekujira (サメクジラ, - Samekujira) literally translated as "Shark Whale" is a Monster that appeared in the TV series, Ultraman Taro. He appeared in the show's 53rd and final episode, "Farewell Taro! The Ultra Mother!"

Ultraman X - "Jolly"

"Jolly," Haruki's Pet Samekujira.

A younger Samekujira named "Jolly" appeared in the series, Ultraman X. He appeared in episode 9, entitled "We Are Nebula!"

In this series, Jolly was the pet of an Alien Valkie named "Haruki" who lived in the Nebula House along with Alien Icarus "Ikari", Alien Nackle "Nakuri", and Isamu. Because it was still a baby though, Jolly was rather docile and was the source of Valkie's love and affection. However, Jolly was also being targetted by the Crime Organization, the "Dark Star Cluster" which consisted of Alien Babalou, Alien Zetton, Kemur Man, and Dada, who wanted to use Jolly as a Weapon. It was decided that Jolly's fate would be held over a game of Rugby (which Isamu and Alien Babalou were skilled players of,) with the winners getting possession over Jolly. Fortunately, the Dark Star Cluster were defeated by Nebula House, and the Criminals themselves were driven off by Ultraman X himself. With Jolly now safe, the Samekujira would go on to live the rest of its days with his Valkie owner in the Nebula House.

Weapons and Abilities

• Needle Slash (ニードルスラッシュ - Nīdoru Surasshu): Termed in the Ultra Monster Attack Drama Technical Encyclopedia, Samekujira is armed with a blade for his nose, which can be used for slashing and stabbing.
• Adept Swimmer: Being an aquatic monster, Samekujira is capable of swimming at high speeds.
